Dog T.V.

Dog T.V. is worse than an evening campfire. Children stand there staring at her. Summer STILL has not had her pups. This tells me that these pups will belong to my backup stud, not my stud. Nice. There is nothing wrong with that, I guess, it just tells me my stud is not working yet. We are still estimating her litter at 40ish, can you make out her figure in the pic? She seriously looks like she swallowed a cantaloupe. We have lots of activities planned this weekend and I just hope she has them quickly and efficiently. I do worry a little about a c-sec as she is so big…time will tell.

Gracie spends her summer days eating red sorrel and chickweed. As I type she is sitting outside my window in the flower garden plucking her little delicacies from among the weeds.

She is covered with kitty scratches from the new kittens because, well, what better way to kittens teach toddlers respect for themselves?

I totally forgot the reason why I even started posting New Addition(s) this last week. We got a replacement for Jake the Dog. Meet Riley. He is 80lbs of dopey chocolate lab. Riley is 15 and freshly flunked out of bomb sniffing dog school, hence he is a family dog now.

Riley was recued from the pound by a training school in Custer, he fit their bill. Riley was flown with a trainer to Florida to attend basic training…his trainer said he was out the door as quickly as he was in the door because he was “A.D.D.”…their words.

I am not one to promote Disney films at all, but we did see UP. Remember Doug? This is Doug in living color. Riley was created to be a family dog..he’s a lover, not a bomb sniffer. He LOVES the children, LOVES his ball, and LOVES the water.
