Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD." Psa 25:7
Another birthday has come and gone. I woke to an alarm clock going off at 6 something on a Saturday morning. Jacob came in to wish me happy birthday....gee...um...thanks honey. Do you know what time it is? Back to sleep. I wake at 8am to a bagel and mocha(half the chocolate) from Cruisen Coffee. My husband got up, drove to Lynden and bought me my favorite breakfast bagel. Wow. Jessie had set an alarm as well and was poised to make me breakfast in bed, but they decided they would rather get me a bagel and mocha. The ladies at CC even got in on it. They know us quiet well as Paul and I stop there once a week, every week to order "the usual".
Each child took turns coming in and singing a happy birthday solo for me and giving kisses...except Micah, he was having an attack of the morning grumps. He wanted cake, who cares if it is mommy's birthday...where is his cake? Emma gave me five plastic pears wrapped in a dirty sock. I was so excited! She even wrapped them! And to think, yesterday after receiving these cute plastic pears in a grab bag, they were toted around in her pocket all day. Several times I caught her pulling them out, counting each one and looking at them like they were diamonds. And she gave them to me. How sweet.
My family took me out camping when I came home from my weekly coffee date with my sister and mother. We arrived at our spot(my dads wooded property) and there were decorations galore and that clandestine cake. My children and my dog. I called a new friend who lives down the road and she came over with her three children and we had a great time talking and getting to know one another better.

I waited too long to snap the cake, you get the idea.
And another heart rock from Emma. ;-)
