We got to go to a birthday party today! What made it so great is that at the last moment my always thoughtful husband offered to take the two little ones so I could plop on my friends couch and visit...the whole 3 hours. And plop I did. What made it even more fun was that between me and the three other ladies(all from church) there we had 32 children, and I still had two at home. What made it TOTALLY fun was that I got to talk to these three super moms and just enjoy chatting about life. Ruth D brought her 4 wk old identical twin sons who we all sat and oohed and awed over. She handles them(and her three other young daughters) like a pro and is such a kind, sweet mamma.
I am taking a deep breath, happy the week is over and very thankful to the Lord He brought me through to this evening. There is nothing on the calender next week but a date with my husband and my sister and her husband. The Moo shu has been calling to me from Oriento restaurant in B-ham. And then I still need to finish tackling taxes. I called my father to chat & I told him I was struggling with the *business* side of the taxes this year. You don't want to complain to my father and I should have known, he has a huge heart. Next thing I knew he had called his CPA from Palm Springs and made an appointment for me to meet with him in Lynden and spend a half hour asking all the questions my little heart desired and getting answers. I did that and it was incredibly helpful.
I took Penelope for a walk this evening, she stops to eat everything. We had some new friends from church over Friday night for supper and they raise milk, show and meat goats. Talk about the BEST mentors, and they are practically neighbors. Was there another motive for having them to dinner other than fellowship?....Maybe. We had a blast getting to know them, though. Us north county SBCCers need to stick together. There are more and more people driving from Lynden to our church, how great. Anyways, they looked over my goat and said she easy has a week left before kidding, so I have enough time to get my little *birth kit* together. You all will get sick of baby goat pic's after they are born, if they live...

I'm excited to see 'baby' pics. Is she going to have twins?
