I got a brand spank’n new dishwasher. Not from Craigslist or the paper but from a store…it hasn’t even been used yet! I am so giddy. They say it will actually wash the dishes FOR me AND dry them? I have seen these wonderful machines at friends’ homes before. My sweet hubby noticed how many hours are spent standing at the kitchen sink washing, took pity on me and bought me one yesterday, and at the same time purchased our first extended warranty(thanks, Ruth E) so there will be no excuses for the dog gone thing not working for 5 yrs!
He installed it last night and I ran my first load with 2 qrt jars and a nasty mac n cheese casserole dish as a joke. They were spotless this morning! Doing the happy dance…doing the happy dance….

Congratulations...and I know you'll never regret getting the extended warranty! My only question is....what are you using in it???? Did you see my FB post about making my own automatic dishwasher powder and rinse agent???? They are marvelous and so stinking cheap!

Homemade dishwasher detergent (soap) recipe
1 cup borax
1 cup washing soda(my friend said that she used baking soda and that worked?)
1/2 cup citric acid(grocery stores in canning section)
1/2 cup kosher salt(no iodine, fine or flake ground)
Fill rinse agent compartment with white vinegar instead of JetDry.
