Monday

O.k., so I have ran out of creative juices when it comes to titling my blog posts.

I finally, after many attempts and failures, knitted a functional pair of booties! As soon as I can, I’m running back into town for more yarn. I’m in love with this pattern.

Are these not just adorable? What I love is the yarn is stretchy and will stay on the foot. My children have very long feet at birth they wear 3m size socks. I made these a smidge longer so they’ll fit. ;)

This is part of the collection of hats I made for her. After falling into a rolled brim hat rut, a friend sent me a very easy pattern for a ruffled edge, what a breath of fresh air. I am a perpetual beginner.

1 week and 18 days to go till due date. I’ve been telling the children my most favorite moment of life is having that baby scooped up and placed on my chest for the first time, all floppy and wet, they take their first breaths on my chest as I anxiously wipe their little face with a towel. My homebirth babies always make me a little nervous when born because they do not come out screaming like in the hospital, so I love those first few seconds of rubbing them down and getting them going. The day can not come quick enough.

Those are adorable booties! And the hats are to die for, especially the ruffle brim one! You really should make it to sit and knit today so you can show them off in person!
