Recipe Hunt

I plan all my dinners for one month, then shop all at one time. I write my menu out for the month and post it on the fridge so the children(and Daddy) can look forward to ??? tonight. Tuesdays are always breakfast night, Fridays are usually bbq hamburger night with Saturday being Garbage Soup night, never knowing what left-overs are going to eat from the freezer!

BUT I need new recipes. I LOVE church cookbooks, so if you happen to have one/some you do not use pleeeeease consider donating them to....um....me. I have noticed there are quite few of you people out there reading my blog. Hmmmm who are you all? I'm curious. At our family reunion I found two more people who said they read my blog regularly that caught me off guard.

That said, I want your favorite recipe idea. I am looking for energy efficient(cooking at 350 for 1 hr or less) with common household ingredients/meats. Can you just leave 1 recipe in the comment box? My family will thank you. 80% of our meals consist of casserole, veggies & bread. Casseroles are cheap and yummy so I don't mind casseroles. I also love my crockpot...So there. Throw me a new one!

Off to teach the kids how to prune raspberries.

Hi Jennifer
Thanks for posting the Japanese Spaghetti recipe on your blog. I owe you a recipe BIG TIME! I made it tonight to accompany crab, shrimp, and fish caught out in the San Juans this past weekend. It was a HUGE hit with the kids. Judah, who's 5, cleared his plate which is very unusual and Alex (12) who is a VERY picky eater ate like 3 plates full. Jaryn (2) he just pigged out on the crab and shrimp, and Arick(15) said he liked it as well....my husband, well that is an understatement. He said it was the awesomest noodles he's ever tasted. So as for your request for recipes.. well I'm going to find some and I'll email them to you. It'll take a few days because I've got to clean house and do shopping for Judah's birthday party this weekend. His bday was yesterday and of course he wants 'ALL' his cousins to come over on Sat. Anyways take care and thanx again for the spaghetti recipe... We loved it. Jenni

We recently tried this casserole and were surprised at how yummy it was. It does use canned soup which is generally not something we utilize, but the end result was delish, and good as leftovers too.
