We went into JoAnn Fabrics last week(50% off fleece!) to have each child pick out fabric for a blanket. Just one yard cuts of one patterned & one solid peices. After much thought and deliberating, they each chose what was special to them. Jessica – horses, Jacob – camo, Daniel – deer hunting, Emma - ladybugs & bumblebees, Micah - “dangerous sharks”.
I had no idea everyone would love doing this as much as they did, nor did I know each one would stick to the task of tying each dog gone tie. Hundreds of double knots. We dreamt double knots!
That same evening all five blankets were completed. That was so fun and easy!

What a great idea! That would make a great rainy day activity :)
This is another item I need to know how to do!!
Aren't those a blast to make? And they are so warm. I made an enormous one for my sister a few years back and unwisely did it all in one day. My hands were so sore and cramped. I could have used all of your youngins' hands to help me!
Hi Jennifer! So fun to see you today!!! HOW do you make the blankets? And aren't just dying to teach Adrienne to do it? :) Okay, only (partly) kidding. If it doesn't require a sewing machine, I'm in. Those are way too cute! What a fun mom you are!
