No time to blog...

BUT I just heard about this great blog that I had to share. It is from a woman dedicated to cooking 365 days in her crockpot, posting the recipes and writing reviews...with children eating the food. I am not a big crockpot fan, but boy she has inspired me, wow! Looks like a run to the Green Barn for veggies is needed to try some of these recipes this next week.

Um, this is SO COOL! I even asked for a new crockpot for Christmas and I hope I get it so I can try some of these. I'm not a huge fan of crockpot cookery because I've had some real duds, but I like that she reviews every recipe!

OOOH! I can't wait to try these. I bookmarked that site into my favorites! The best book I have is "Fix it and Forget it" a really great crockpot book. I could be talked into lending it to you...

O.k, we had the Dijon Chicken tonight and it wasn't dijony enough. It was quite bland, but oh the sweet potatoes were yummy. I served it over rice and asked everyones opinion on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best. My husband, bless his heart, kindly smiled and held up 1 finger. The kids gave it a 3, but I think it was out of sympathy. I liked it and I, not the dog, will have the leftovers to lunch tomorrow.

Hey Girl, I love my crockpot. Perhaps not as much as the lady with the blog, but I definitely think it's awesome. I cook in it A LOT. We have one for the house and one for the trailer for camping. There's nothing quite like standing in the kitchen at 10 A.M., smiling at the crockpot and knowing dinner's in there. Love that! Hugs, Marie

A-hem. Now I just tried the Chicken Adobo. Well, it is sitting in the pot and we are all staring at it then glancing over at the hotdogs in the freezer. Hmmm...

"There's nothing quite like standing in the kitchen at 10 A.M., smiling at the crockpot and knowing dinner's in there." Isn't that just the most WONDERFUL feeling?! I agree!

Fun! Thanks for the tip. I, too, love the "dinner's ready" feeling before lunch time! :o)
