Seeking rabbit recipes....you heard me, rabbit. By next year we hope to have a good stock of bunnies to feed our family. We usually butcher about 40 large chickens in the Spring for the year, but they are labor intense and they need to be kept in a freezer. We went to a wonderful families home last Friday and Mr. B took this huge male rabbit out of his cage and ten minutes later he was handing us "ready-to-eat" rabbit in a sack. 10m...that is half the time it takes us to do a chicken(we're slow, ok?). It is in the crockpot as we speak, but I would sure like to collect some recipes for the coming years if you happen to know of some. Give me a few easy, good recipes and you may win yourself a rabbit.

I will state that I do not in any way shape or form claim to have a green thumb, as you have witnessed my attempts at gardening. HOWEVER, I have found that THICK layers of newspaper under the soil does help. There....my 'helpful' hint. :D Rabbit recipes? Don't know any, maybe check with Elmer Fudd?? LOL!
I *might* try that, it sounds like a lot of work, but less than weeding so much. I found my ooooold Betty Crocker & Better Homes and Gardens has some great rabbit recipes. The meat last night had great flavor, but it was dry. I had it in a crockpot all day on low, didn't think you could ever dry meat out that way....but I did.
