Way To Go Jacob!!!!

After reading a wonderful book on frogs, my son and I noticed the critters pictured were not frog tadpoles, but, in fact, salamanders. We have raised gobs of these critters from our pond and a salamander has distinctive outside *gills*. Jacob sat down at the computer and wrote this letter to Heinemann-Raintree publications as they had a handy email address on the inside cover.

FW: SUBJECT: Product Question/Issue

Hello, first let me start by saying I loved your book Frogs that we borrowed from the library. It was a great book, it had a lot of detail, but it had one problem. The eggs shown in the book are actuaully salamader eggs. Also the picture of the tadpoles, was really a picture of baby salamanders. We know this because we have raised them before at our home and salamanders have outside gills and tadpoles do not.Salamander bodies are long and sleek and tadpoles are short and stubby. Just wanted to let you know. Again, I really enjoyed the book with my family.ISBN 1-4034-6772-2
