We decided school is done. I was going through my record book last week and realized I had several weeks misplaced and after getting it all in order announced it was Summer vacation. We will do read-a-louds and unit studies...all the fun, spur of the moment stuff we love to do.
But today we woke up, looked upon a clean house and said "Why waste it?" so we called Grandma and had lunch at the park. The same park I spent many fun filled visits when I was my childrens age. The teeter-totter, tall hot metal slide and wading pool are gone, but they finally got their act in gear and built restrooms at the bottom of the hill! It was a pleasant time and Grandma is a hoot - Emma even got to push her on the swing!
